Founded in 1972, Mackle Pet Foods have steadily grown to become one of Ireland’s leading pet food manufacturers. They work with vets and specialist animal nutritionists to develop recipes that incorporate the nutrition pets needs, with the taste they love.
The Marketing team at Mackle contacted us when their existing website had been online for 5 years. It wasn’t mobile friendly and needed a new look and feel.
In addition to improving the user experience of the website, we were also asked to create microsites for the various Mackle brands which includes Brandy, Cat Club and Nuturo, 5 microsites in total.
The last requirement was that the website had to be easily updated via a Content Management System. This was to allow the internal Marketing team to regularly add new content themselves.
In order to create a fresh, custom built website we went through a full design process. Starting with a content audit and sitemap we quickly established what pages and layouts would be required on the new site.
We then went about creating a full colour interactive prototype using Adobe Experience Design. After a single round of changes we had our new look and feel agreed complete with the relevant user journeys ensuring an excellent user experience.
Finally, we created a new custom WordPress theme complete with further templates to facilitate the four product micosites. The site is information rich, clearly labeled and easy to navigate. There are clear calls to action for users to contact Mackle and also relevant information for retail customers to find out more about becoming a stockist.
All information submitted is stored securely on our email service provider’s server (Gmail). We do not use it for marketing purposes, to receive our latest posts and updates join our mailing list.
